  1. @turbofandude Correction: Please read "FMA Speed window" instead of "FMA ALT window". In this situation I am expecting to see 199+5 kts, as V clean min is 199. Thanks, Haseen.
  2. @turbofandude Please refer attached photos. Look at PFD airspeed scale and FMA Alt window. Also see FMC App page. FMA ALT window show target FMC speed 145. FMC Slat Ext 155, also Flap 18--155. Actual speed 211 kts. Haseen.

  4. Dear: I was flying from VGHS to VGRJ. Waypoints on the airway G463 are: DAC, OLPAS, BATEL RAJ and then VGRJ. The last leg is BATEL to RAJ. Distance is 56 nm. I want to create a "Place/bearing /distance" or "place/-distance" waypoint 12 miles out RAJ. "RAJ/-12" format is not accepted by FMS. So I tried to make "RAJ/Radial( I don't know from F-PLN page)/12". I require the the last leg track angle to make such waypoints. It's very important because I will set 220/2000 constraint on that. But I don't know where in the FMS I can find leg track angle. Haseen.

  6. T/O THRUST Magenta not available.

    Dear turbofandude: Any solution about the T/O THRUST? PFD only displays T/O CLAMP, but never T/O THRUST during takeoff roll! I also saw TFDi 717 tutorial videos in the youtube. Same there. Haseen.
  7. ND VOR mode deviation bar.

    Dear: I made two flights to VGJR and VGRJ. I elected to carry out VOR approach to RW 16 at VGJR. For VGJR. I selected correct VOR ID JSR (113.00), course 158 for rw 16. When I selected VOR display mode in the ND, I saw the course is set ok but the deviation pointer is parked few degrees apart from course pointer centerline, not moving at all. But both the VOR bearing pointer indications are ok. The same problem also happened at VGRJ, VOR RW 35. Kindly help. Haseen Ahmad.
  8. @turbofandude @Joshua Che. Thanks for your reply. I was making a short flight from VGJR to VGHS (Old VGZR) is FSX Acc. Cruise alt was FL110, transition alt 4000 ft. I selected ILS RW 14 and IBANU transition. During end of descent close to 12 DME arc and at 3000 ft., speed target in the PFD became 145 kts, '145 THRUST' magenta, FMS speed mode. But as the plane was still in clean config., minimum speed clean is 205 kts as per FMS TO/APP page, gross wt. 100,000 lbs. What I am expecting from flying experience of PMDG MD-11X (similar autoflight system), FMS should maintain target speed which is appropriate for that config. As FMS is not doing that, I pulled the speed knob and dialed 205. Later I extended slats, pressed FMS SPEED button, expected FMS will maintain 164 kts (slats extended target speed), but again '145 THRUST' magenta displayed. Again I pulled the speed knob and selected 164. My Vapp in the TO/APP page with flaps 40 was 142 kts. Finally I completed the landing with selected speed 142 kts, instead of FMS managed speed. I set constraints at: 1) 12 DME 220 kts/3000 ft., 2) 10 nm out extended centerline of the runway 14, 170 kts/2000 ft. Turbofandude: 1. In clean config (slats and flaps up), as per TO/APP page, speed should be 205kt, but near the 12 DME arc of DAC, the speed target is going down to 145 kt prematurely. Why? 2. With slats extended, target speed as per TO/APP page should be 164 kt, but in the PFD speed FMA it goes down to 145 kts. Why? Thanks & regards, Haseen Ahmad Bangladesh.

Later I extended slats, pressed FMS SPEED button, expected FMS will maintain 154 kts (slats extended target speed), but again '145 THRUST' magenta displayed. Again I pulled the speed knob and selected 154. Finally I completed the landing with selected speed instead of FMS Managed speed.     Dear Turbofandude: Sorry for mistake. I meant to say TAKEOFF THRUST white. I can see only takeoff clamp, but no takeoff thrust white. Regards, Haseen.
  11. Dear: In FMS speed mode, the correct speed for that config, slats extended or Flaps 18, is not being maintained, speed is going down to 142 kts final approach speed. So, I have to pull the speed knob and select appropriate approximate speed which I don't know exactly. Why FMS is unable to maintain correct speed for the config.? Regards, Haseen Ahmad.

    Dear: Where do I get an Approach and Landing speed card? Because in FMS speed mode, the correct speed for the config set is not being maintained. I have to pull the speed knob and select appropriate speed which I don't know exactly. Regards, Haseen Ahmad.

    Dear: During takeoff, when AUTOFLIGHT button pressed and throttles advanced, autothrottle FMA shows white T/O CLAMP, but not T/O THRUST Magenta. The sequence is; first T/O THRUST Magenta, then after 80 kts, white T/O CLAMP. Please comment. Regards, Haseen Ahmad.
