  1. P3d 4.3 using 1.1 here as well. Single Titan. Running on an older Nvidia driver (one that has proven the most stable and visually superior over all of them...can't recall the number, not at my simming PC). Reluctant to change it as its hands down the best one overall for P3d...but would for testing....not sure if it would fix it though based on other reports. Getting the flickering in the VC too...random when it happens, and will happen for a bit...then stop for a while then start. Cant determine what is triggering it...but panning seems to aggravate is the most. Hope you guys can nail it down and fix....slightly annoying for an otherwise awesome plane.

This is a custom texture file that will improve the "washed out" look of the default tail lighting for the Volotea livery released by TDFI. I add light splashes on the engine nacelles as well. To install: Copy the 717_ext_4_lm.dds file to the texture folder where your Volotea livery exists...typically P3D\SimObjects\Airplanes\TFDi_Design_717\Texture.Volotea That's it! Enjoy viewing her at night! I may make additional tweaks to the file as I refine my process. Texture is modified from the original official TFDI Volotea 717 texture set. All TFDI rights reserved.

This is a custom texture file that will improve the "washed out" look of the default tail lighting for the QantasLink livery released by TDFI. I add light splashes on the engine nacelles as well. NOTE: The screenshots look terrible because I had to lighten the pics a ton to get them to show...and the color red gets trashed by texture compression...it looks great on the aircraft in the sim. To install: Copy the 717_ext_4_lm.dds file to the texture folder where your QantasLink livery exists...typically P3D\SimObjects\Airplanes\TFDi_Design_717\Texture.QantasLink That's it! This is a custom texture file that will improve the "washed out" look of the default tail lighting for the Hawaiian2001 livery released by TDFI. 5. Here are all but Turk official liveries (ran outta' steam for the night). Uploading and then going to bed! Actually I just noticed I really need to do the aft fuse section as well to make it look completely right...and will have to experiment and update the files later...I'll be away for a few days, but these tail textures should get everyone by until I can do them all properly. 😉
  6. I just uploaded the file to the download forum. I added the splashes to the nacelles too. Its pending approval, if it gets approved, you can get it at this link (if the approval process doesn't change the web address) https://forums.tfdidesign.com/index.php?/files/file/88-tfdi-717-delta-night-tail-lighting/ The screenshots look bad because I had to crank up the brightness so you can see the effect, and of course the color red gets trashed when saving screenshots Enjoy her guys....maybe more to follow later.

  8. That said and with Jordi's reply, I'll go ahead and upload my Delta night textures after I get home tonight (and tweak them a little more...want to adjust the angle of the beam, decrease the intensity a bit, and splash the nacelles a bit more). Not sure if I'll do any more liveries as of right now because this is the only livery I fly, but if I get to flying her in other parts of the world I'll do them as I fly them and upload for you guys (If TFDI or others don't get to them 1st). If I get ambitious and make a texture template for the lights (Which I should have done for the Delta so I could easily apply to all of them), I'll upload that as well you you guys can modify your own liveries.
  9. Just posted this in another thread regarding this issue...see if it works for you (works for me) https://forums.tfdidesign.com/index.php?/topic/3374-p3d-v43-717-v11-crash-to-desktop/&do=findComment&comment=15954
  10. I was having the very reliable "vanish to desktop" issues when switching views...was ready to park her out of frustration. For the last 20 years or so in simming, I've been using the "S" and SHIFT+S keys to cycle my views. This was such an automatic thing in my routine that I normally don't even think about it....unless I'm in this plane and I'd be enjoying the wonderful exterior and then attempt to come back into the cockpit and ...poof...gone...flight over. I was reluctant to stay in the cockpit the entire flight, especially with the updated external model (which is beautiful BTW)...so I thought I'd try using the right-click menu to switch views vs my trusty S key. Guess what? After about 6 or so flights with many excursions through the various views, not a single CTD using this method! So I'd consider this another work-around for the CTD/view switching issue until it gets resolved. (not sure if anyone else has mentioned this before though)
  11. Great solution Rich! Thanks for that info! The lightmap for each livery is very clunky and I was not looking forward to doing that for any 717 I wanted to fly. Hope the update get incorporated into the model for us to update soon. Thanks Snapp. Not sure if I'll paint any just yet, although I already have a few I'd like to paint (including the one on your avatar since I have many, many flights in them back when they were in business). For a "retired" painter, I still have a lot of planes I still want to paint, LOL. I'm also going to put my Lufthansa paint from the -400 series on the-8 when they release it, so I know I still have work to do.😉
  12. I did this one really quick for the new model and the official TFDI Delta. If I get permission from the staff I'll either upload or give to them to include in the original download. And I have to say...OUTSTANDING job on the exterior model TDFI....one of the best I've seen (and I've seen and painted a lot!) Regards, Steve Dra
