  1. Well, as I stated in my update, I have had Real Light completely out of the loop and then the problem still exist so yes, I believe now that RealLight is probably not the case but turning on the lights is doing something very bad and as far I can see now only in VR. The version I tried before the buy was the 1.0.9.2.7 version and me was told it was the latest FSX version. Anyway, The 1.1 version I downloaded after payment to TFDi directly has no further updates and is installed on a new and clean machine with everything fresh... Win10 1909 and Prepar3Dv4.5. I also tried on another machine with the same result. Funny however that the older 1.0.9.2.7 version do exactly the same in VR.... Lights on and boooom, a direct hit.
  2. I have written a few days ago my experience as a newbie with the 717 in HP Reverb VR with the latest 1.1 version and got ZERO response on my findings due to a possible " Real Light" Bug that is still there since the FSX version and have placed these issue/complain also now on the AVSim P3Dv4 forum due to the lack of response from TFDi. It is giving me a bad feeling about the willingness of TFDi to solve or even answer my issues regarding to this product, ventilated on this support forum and want to know if there is a refund policy by direct sale (Not over SIMMARKET) but directly bought by TFDi. Just for the record, I have the PMDG 737NGX with HR panels and the Leonardo Maddog MD8.x 64bit version (also with Real Light from TFDi) running in native Prepar3Dv4.5 VR between 30-40fps. and is as smooth as butter and for further VR testing I bought the Flyinside 6.x version with the TFDi 717 as a default plane and is the bird running at 90fps by 90hz in VR with a Frame Time below 5 Ms in both CPU and GPU so a underpowered system is not the issue. (9600K-32Gb-Titan XP 12Gb/ Windows 10Pro version 1909). The 717 is only flyable in VR with ALL the lights out and is still causing randomly between 30 and 60 sec. a Mega Stutter and sometimes a complete short freeze (visible in real time in my fpsVR software running in the cockpit as a measure instrument for the moment. UPDATE I disabled in Simobjects the Reallight completely, received a warning about it when I fired the plane up in P3D, made a test flight and as soon I switch the Landing or Taxi Lights on, the problem is still there so I am wondering if it is a RealLight bug. In 2D as I mentioned above, there is absolutely no problem at all. Just to be sure I tested also on a different machine with the 1903 Win10 and P3Dv4.4 and exact the same problem.
  3. Recently I bought the TFDi-717 for P3Dv4.x after experimenting with it in Flyinside VR 6.x where it is a default plane and I am very happy with these little bird and want to make my compliments to TFDi for these excellent plane. A friend of my told me that he had the older version and that there were a lot of bugs (including the Real Light Performance Bug) but after reading about a lot of bugfixes in the latest version, I decided to make the jump. Well, a lot of bugs where fixed indeed BUT the real light bug is still there. In 2D on the Computer screen, it's not a big or noticeable issue but in VR, it's completely destroying the performance... It is already very hard to trim my rig for using the 4K HighRes Reverb VR headset with a lot of sacrifices (Ohh boy, the 717 in Flyinside is running in VR with 90 fps) but in P3D I am glad to reach 30 fps and yes, it is still possible with these little airliner. but there comes the big BUT again, without any lights on.... as soon as I do the " ready to fly) on the tablet or manually in the Cockpit Prep, It's falling back to 7... and have to switch ALL the lights, including the NAV's off to recover back for flying. I am glad that I can put off the Real Glass now in the setup manager to save some performance but maybe it's a good idea to do the same with Real Light in future releases or fix the bug in another way. The Maddog MD8.x 64bit version has also Real Light and I can use it in VR and no problem at all. Just my 2 cents.... Happy landings... (in these situation without any (landing) lights)
