4.1 Working?

Recommended Posts

+3 for True Glass. I am currently flying the latest beta version in v4.1 and its great. With winter coming I am excited to see how TrueGlass works in the ice and snow.

So here goes the "big" question...

Prepar3dv4 has been updated to v4.1, and it has been recomended to un-install your "Prepar3d client" v4 and install the new (downloaded) Prepar3d client v4.1.  So far so good but...

In order to "see" the new "true glass", do we need to also un-install the "Prepar3d content" v4, and install the new (downloaded) Prepar3d content v4.1, which contains the "VC Rain" addition?

Or is this "VC Rain" addition in v4.1 not needed in order for "True Glass" to work on the 717?

Another big question, was anyone able to get this working with a clean install.  I did not want to update until things were stable, but I had an unrecoverable pc crash and I've been up all night reinstalling everything. This one was next on my list.

Got my answer, it works fine

AFAIK, it is this (based on a post by Brandon on AVSIM)

So, Rain effects are working rn for the 717? I dont understand O.o

No rain effects yet, TruGlass is independent from 4.1's rain effects and isn't released, and P3D 4.1 rain effects, only work on default aircraft.

We are intending to finalize our folder structure and system for TrueGlass then it will be available to v4 717 users immediately after. It's slated for this week.

We're trying to both finish fog and ice (relatively easy comparatively to the rain) and roll it out with some actual aircraft updates, so we're not just hyping with no meat. That's where the delay is coming from currently.
