Good job team :)

But I have an error when I try to update with the Manager.

The addon manager dont find the path drive of my new p3d installation.  When I run it I have popup who say that p3d not directorynotfoundexception.

Now my installation path is F:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4.

I uninstall and reinstall the addon manager but still have same problem.

So I just bought this.  I go to the addon manager and it says TFDi Design Addon Manager V1.1.31.0.  So does this mean I don't have the fixed 1.14?

This is the release number of the Addon-Manager which is the correct and recent one. Have a look at the tab "Installation", your installed version for Prepar3D v4 should read "1.1.4.0" which is the newest update. If you have an older version, there should be a button to update. :)

Thank you very much for the new update! I'm really looking forward of flying the 717 again.

However, when I try to install the 717 I get the following error:

tfdi1haku9.jpg

So I tried to reset my activations. But after login into my account there is no "Reset Activations" button only this error message:

tfdi28kk29.jpg

I hope someone from the team can help me to solve this 😃

Thanks and Greetings
Tim

Good morning! I come bearing good news:

The New 717 Update

As many of you know, the 717 has been plagued with the View Switch CTD for a while now, and the SLI flicker has also been reported. As of April 3rd 2020, both of these bugs are now fixed. This means the CTD when switching views no longer occurs, and the SLI flicker when running two graphics cards has also been fully resolved.

On behalf of everyone at TFDi Design, we would like to thank our small team of affected users and testers with bringing this resolution out as the final update of the TFDi Design 717, version 1.1.4.0.

For People Affected by the SLI Flicker

There are some additional steps that need to be taken in order to support the fix. In the Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Airplanes\TFDi_Design_717\Panel\LegacyRender folder, there will be a Panel.cfg and 717.dll file. Copy these two items into the directory above, TFDi_Design_717\Panel folder. This will allow the TFDi Design 717 to support SLI.

If there are any problems or you need some additional help, please reach out to the support team here.

Will this fix help us FSX SE owners that have the same issue?

We were actively working with testers, but none with FSX:SE, as nobody else reported this issue. Try the update, and let me know if it works or not. If you need support, open a ticket.

Just wanted to drop a line and thank you for working out the CTD when switching views. i loved the 717 since you released it a few years back..... but didn’t fly it as much i wanted because that evil little bug always found a way to ruin my day!   Earlier today i flew my first flight since updating to the latest release and i had no problems. It was a perfect flight.....and the 717 performed smooth as butter. Now i got my baby back!  And it’s all because of you!  Thanks TFDI!  You guys are the best!

I made 2 flights after reinstalling the aircraft.  1st one was successful, second one CTD'd 40 miles from destination airport.  This is exactly the same problem with the same symptoms that the P3d pilots were having, but I'm flying the FSX SE version.  Click to change a view, crashes to desktop.  I did open a ticket before and was told that I'm the only one who has reported this problem with FSX SE.  I tried all the "fix's", none worked.  Once the CTD's happen, then they happen with other aircraft.   I have to completely remove the 717 and all it's files to stop the CTD's.  Was there a specific problem causing this failure in P3d that's common with FSX SE? Maybe it's a simple problem that's common that I can fix.   I really like this airplane, but as you see it's unflyable, and the 12-14 hours I have trying to fly it I would really like to have had back.  Jim

If you are not actively flying the aircraft, its files can have no effect on your simulator. If the mere existence of the files on your hard drive is causing your simulator to crash, that’s nothing to do with us. We have not had any other reports of this, which would indicate it is more than likely not a widespread serious issue with the product.

FSX is unstable, unfortunately. Have you tried removing all other add-ons from the equation? It’s possible that something else is conflicting with our aircraft or that our aircraft highlights a problem in another add-on. Have you looked at the event viewer logs at all? If you send them in, we can also research them for you. If the regular techniques are not working, it may require a reinstall of the simulator or Windows potentially depending on what the actual problem is. I realize those are time consuming solutions, but there are an infinite number of things that can cause a one-off specific problem like this.

Well, here we go again.  I've been through all that with you guys before.  It's obvious since this appears to be a lone incident that your not interested in a fix for one customer.  I've done everything you have mentioned, even sending my specs to you before.  It's not an add on, or other program.  It only happens with this aircraft.  After I uninstall the bird, the problem no longer exists.  I thought last night that reinstalling the aircraft would include the fix you guys found for P3d.  I don't know how many times I have to repeat this, but the symptoms are Identical to the ones reported on P3d.  I click to change a view, the simulator crashes to the desktop.  Since you found the fix I figured you might be able to apply it to FSX SE.  I'm gonna just accept the loss of my money and move on.  I've already spent too many man hours on this to make it worth the hassel anymore.  Too bad, I really like this airplane.

When a problem is isolated to 1 in a thousand users, the problem is with the user not the product.

Like you said "since this appears to be a lone incident" the problem is on your end. maybe try get FSX, P3d v2/3 or 4 and see if the issue still exists there.

FSX steam is still FSX, and FSX was a problem in itself

You have no way of knowing what the problem is if you're not taking the steps to properly isolate it (removing other addons, etc.). Us asking for that isn't a way to sidestep taking responsibility, it's a way to determine what the actual problem is so we can either A: fix it or B: tell you what you can do to fix it if it's not our issue. I'm not going to keep going around in circles with you - the CTD that affected Prepar3D v4 quite literally does not apply to FSX and you cannot be having the same one. There is something else causing it - I have no idea what and we're not able to isolate, so I can't help you.
