scoottheflies
Hi, I'm part of the management team of a virtual airline, and we are looking for a new ACARS system to supplement our operations. We've been looking at SmartCARS, and have a few questions about the data recorded during the landing phase. Landing FPM is rarely the only indicator of a good landing, we are also looking at 1. Distance from runway threshold 2. Threshold crossing height 3. Landing G-force. I know that such data recorded by the sim can be quite inaccurate due to limitations of current simulator software, but nevertheless, we are still interested in seeing them in our flight reports. Does SmartCARS have the ability to record these information and display it in the PIREPs? Thanks! Edited August 20, 2020 by scoottheflies
Tyler Syring
In our current version of smartCARS these features do not exist. However, in smartCARS 3 and beyond they most likely will exist. Regards,
scoottheflies
Thanks for the reply! It's unfortunate that there hasn't been a release timeline set for SmartCARS 3.
