Could someone please comment on how to edit the Landing- and Taxi- lights effects (.fx) files. They are still much much to bright and this has not been fixed since the first version of P3Dv5.

Thank you,

Michael

Open the effect file and go to any section that is labelled as [Particle.X]
Change the X Scale to a set of numbers of your choosing, then save the file.

Alternatively, use the FXTool provided in the P3D SDK to properly edit these effect files.

Inital reports for the 717 in Prepar3D V5.2 are looking very promising.

However, if you'd like to help out please join our discord community and then apply for the role "717 Beta Tester in v5" within the assign roles channel.

Hello everybody!
How are you?

I have been testing the 717 on the new P3D V5.2 and the result has not been very good.  In the same scenario and with different aircraft (PMDG, QW or AEROSOFT) the worst stopped was the TFDi 717. With the others I have not had any performance drop.

Are you planning to do some kind of upgrade on this great plane?

Thanks and best regards.

As said before in the Discord, TFDi are not planning on updating this aircraft at the moment until the MD-11 has been released and they assess newer flight simulators on the market.
