FreddieLaker
Long flight - PDMG 737-700 4 hours+ cruise has been detected BUT no drinks or food served- passengers getting annoyed wjy? And looking through forums, why do you insist not to allow pilots to start service order ? this is unrealistic
Fabio Almeida
Was the seatbelt sign switched off? Furthermore, we've gone into great length why we don't allow pilots to start the meal service, but this is mainly due to realism. In the real world, the head steward(ess) will let the cabin crew know when to start the meal service, not the pilot.
kadam1971
I have the same issue. I reach cruise altitude and PAC X still says that I'm climbing. My flights are an hour plus and the seatbelt sign is turned off. Sometimes, the announcement of due to duration of the flight, drinks will not be served when I'm already descending and close to the airport. Thoughts? VFHUB Mach
Same issue it is taking them a LONG time to realize I am up at cruise it just considers me in the climb phase for about 50nm into the cruise, my best guess is that might be looking at the actual baro and not the STD 29.92 in the pmdg 737-700. when I enter a new region in the sim and the weather updates they realize it and switch over to cruise. on a side note they are very late to notice the descent also, generally at around 18,000ft they realize it and switch to the descent phase which is why I believe the baro is at fault. I like the decision being done by the FA, but I dislike how cruise altitude is currently done. Is it possible to increase the "buffer" that triggers cruise alt? Most times PACX won`t detect the correct altitude (probably MSFS fault, since it is also reporting alt off in other apps). Since I do a lot of short flights this is an issue. Brasil88
I have no problem in detecting the cruise and the ascent, even if I have been using it for 1 week. Anyway, I make an automatic announcement when I arrive just before the cruise quota where it says that we have reached the altitude, after a few minutes I make another automatic announcement to "enjoy the flight". I would like the first officer / co-pilot to also speak, for example during takeoff he tells you "gear up" to remember to pull up the cart, then another example, during landing speaks when you activate aerobrakes and thrust reversers, in addition to flaps. Also, but this is a plus, it could "help" you in the checklist, saying only "Check", when you perform some standard steps for each aircraft. I think if you haven`t encountered some problems with PACX detecting when you are on cruise, you may not have played long enough. Unless your cruise is immediately detected, you could be having the issue and don`t even realize it. Check if sometimes it takes a few minutes on cruise for PACX to detect or if it does so as soon as you reach your assigned altitude. PACx tries to bypass the issue by assuming you are on cruise after flying straight and level for a few minutes. Also, if you are using standard pressures (preset weather instead of live), I think it will work every time. So try with Live weather. As far as I understand It`s not even PACX fault, it`s MSFS reporting the wrong altitudes (depending on pressure level/temperatures). Check an external app showing your altitude (or even the built in PACX IFE web monitor) and it will be vastly different than the in game by a few hundred ft to thousands. What I was asking is if devs could increase the cruise altitude buffer within PACx to allow for more variation. Although this doesn`t affect every flight, this issue has plagued me for over a year and a half. It`s especially annoying when it happens on short flights and I have to finish service during the descent/approach.
cttechgaming
I have had a look to see if I can replicate this and the only way I get the still climbing message is if the FL in Pacx is different to what you are at, could be worth checking that if you put FL340 in Pacx that you have not leveled up at FL300 for example as then Pacx is still expecting you to climb up to cruise.
